What we do with the resumes you upload.

You are handing us other people’s personal information — candidates who never signed up for anything. This page says plainly what happens to it. Last updated August 4, 2026.

The short version

• Resumes are used to produce your formatted document and then deleted.
• We never use them to train any model, our own or anyone else’s.
• We never sell them, and we never share them with another customer.
• You can ask us to delete anything we hold, and we will.

What we collect

From you: your email address, your agency name, and the letterhead file you send us so we can build your template.

From the resumes you upload: whatever the document contains. That normally includes a candidate’s name, work history, education and contact details. We do not ask for anything beyond the file itself.

Automatically: a timestamp and the file type for each format, so we can count usage. That record does not contain the document or any candidate detail. If you use the site, standard web analytics record the pages viewed.

How long we keep it

Uploaded resumes are processed and deleted. They are not retained after your formatted document is produced. Your account details and your brand template are kept for as long as you have an account, and removed when you close it.

Who else sees it

The formatting is performed by Anthropic’s Claude models. Content sent through the API is not used to train their models. Our site runs on Vercel and our email is sent through Resend. That is the complete list of third parties that touch your data — we do not sell it, rent it, or share it for advertising.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. California residents have these rights under the CCPA, and we extend the same treatment to everyone regardless of where they live. Write to support@getlucidai.com and we will action it within 30 days.

If you are a candidate rather than a customer and you believe an agency sent us your resume, email us and we will confirm whether we hold anything and delete it on request.

Changes

If this changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, we will email account holders rather than quietly editing this page.
